Sunlight

Your fluorescence is sinking into my pores,
Bloodstream, corneas, bloody
Everywhere. My footsteps shine
With you’re a-million-carrot glow, little
Luminous droplets of fairy dust
For wanderers to follow, if they
Choose. Like golden breadcrumbs.
The wood has become these brazen towers,
That gingery hut transforms trippingly into
The tempting trappings of regular
Life. But now, right now, follow me-
You’ll now where to tread,
Just follow the light – light like
You’ve never seen lighter light before.
Wait, don’t go, don’t fade, stay –
Keep your shine on me,
I’ll lead the way.
